The Constitution of India is the longest, written
constitution in the world. Initialy , ie in 1950 , when it is enacted , there
was 395 articles under 22 parts , 8 schedules . Today, it is 448 articles under 25
parts, 12 schedules, 5 appendices, and 98 amendments today. But few know that our
Constitution borrowed some of its most salient features from other countries
